    月球上可能有水的设想最早提出于上世纪60年代初,但一直停留在理论阶段,即使60~70年代阿波罗月球样品的地面分析也认为月球上没有任何形式的水。美国1994年和1998年发射的两个月球探测器虽然发现了月球上可能有水的一些间接证据,但学术界对其探测数据的解释一直存疑和争论。最近的一些探测与研究结果明显支持了月球上存在水的观点:2008年,科学家在阿波罗宇航员登月采集的月球火山玻璃中检测到水。2009年11月,美国宇航局(NASA)宣布,与月球勘测轨道器(LRO)一同发射的月球坑观测和传感卫星(LCROSS)撞击月球获得重要成果,撞击过程的分析数据表明,月球上存在水。2010年3月,科学家在含有磷灰石的月球岩石中检测到水。2010年3月1日,NASA宣布,由其负责研制、搭载在印度月船一号探测器上的一台微型雷达探测取得重要进展,获得了月球存在水冰的证据。

    Abstract:

    It was proposed in 1961 that water ice could be preserved in the permanent shadowed crater of the polar region. However,scientists cannot find any evidence to support this assumption in 1960s~1980s,even if the detailed analysis of lunar sample in the ground laboratories. Some ambiguous proofs,which was based on science data from 1994’s Clementine and 1998’s Lunar Prospector orbiter,were put forward. Doubts and disputes for the interpretation of the data were lasted to now. In the recent years,great progress has been made in the research of lunar ice. This paper reviewed the history of the detection of water on the Moon. New evidence for lunar ice was also discussed. In 2008,water in the Apollo volcanic glass beads was reported. In 2009,water signals were detected from the results of the impact of LCROSS. In 2010,trace hydrogen was found in the Apollo apatite-bearing basalt. Mini-SAR aboard on Indian Chandrayaan-1 orbiter,which was developed by NASA,has also found evidence of lunar ice. All these results and evidence have provided powerful supports for the existence of water on the Moon.
