Orebearing sequence of the Qianjiadian sag is the UpperCretaceous Yaojia Formation. Predecessors considered that the red sandstone in this area was original in genesis. But a great volume of evidence substantiates that primary sandstone is gray and the red sandstone resulted from epigenetic oxidation aleration and controls the distribution of uranium metallogenesis. Our research divided the deposit into epigenetic altered zone, consisting of red, yellow and light grey altered zones, transitional zone; and original zone, in which the red altered zones are main oxidization zone and uranium mineralization occurred mainly on the transitional zone. The uranium mineralization on the plane is distributed mainly near the front line of the interlayer oxidation zones. Uranium is always concentrated in the front area of lingulate oxidation zone and areas between two adjacent lingulate oxidation zones. At last, the study proposed a metallogenetic model for the Qianjiadian uranium deposit and discussed the distribution of the regional interlayer oxidation zone.
