    Abstract:

Both the Qinling area and Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi contiguous area are important areas where micro- and fine-grained disseminated gold deposits are distributed. The gold deposits in the two areas are similar in some characters and both belong to sedimentary transform gold deposits. Because of the differences in the tectonic position and tectonic evolution, there are many differences in their geology and geochemistry. Gold deposits in the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi contiguous area belong to Carlin-type gold deposits characterized by a typical low-temperature mineral association and wall-rock alteration and a corresponding anomalous element assemblage. Gold is mostly submicro-inclusion-gold. The formation temperature is low. Similar is the case with gold deposits in the southern Qinling area. The case in the central of Qinling area, however , is different: they do not belong to Carlin type gold deposits and have a middle- to low-temperature mineral asociation and wall-rock alteration. The anomalous element assemblage is not the typical one of As-Sb-Hg. Most gold are intergranular gold and fissure gold. The formation temperature is medium to low. The mineralized host rocks are low-grade metamorphic rocks. In the present stage, the micro- and fine-grained disseminated gold deposits in the Qinling area have more value for exploration and exploitation.
