Ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic (UHPM) rocks in Wumiao of the Dabie Mountains consist of coesite-bearing eclogite and high-pressure (HP) gneisses. They show discordant contacts withtheir country rocks--low-pressure (LP) gneisses along thrust fault, while within the UHPMslab the coesite-bearing eclogites are structuraly concordant with "in situ" HP gneisses and there are developed eclogitic facies deformational structure D1 in the pure shear strain state and amphi-bolitic facies deformational structure D2 with a NNW shear sense in a simple shear strain state.
