There is a large range of Nd isotopic variation in Early Cretaceous tho l eiitic basalts and diabase from eastern Zhejiang. Their εNd(t)= 2.46~ -8.04;(87Sr / 86Sr)i = 0.705~0.709;206 Pb / 204Pb=18.338~18.726;207Pb/204Pb=15.554~15.799 ,208Pb/204Pb=38.419~39.319.The associatied contemporary rh yolites and granite porp hyry show combined features of Itype and Stype granites of southern China. Compared with similar basalts from some intraoceanic arc and contaminated basa l ts in some island arcs and continental arcs, these basalts not only have high LI LE but also high LREE and HFSE concentrations. The rounded zircon derived from Pro terozoic basement rocks has been found in the basalts. There exists evidence from magma mixing of contemporary basaltic and rhyolitic magmas. These su gge st that the Early Cretaceous tholeiitic magma of eastern Zhejiang was derived fr om e nriched mantle and contaminated by crustal rocks and melts during underplati ng and ascending processes.
