The concept of ore deposit competitiveness is promoted in the paper, which includes the contents of competitiveness evaluation and the methods of index analysing. Two kinds of mathematic model for the comprehensive study of t he competitivenss are established, selfevaluating model and fuzzy synthetic ju dgment model. By means of the theory and the methods of the competitiveness evalu ation, the development competitiveness of the giant LeadZinc Deposit of Lanping Jinding, Yunnan Provence, are studied and some new understanding is got.
